As a private organization, the CJA retains exclusive control over who it does and does not admit as a member. Any individual or club membership may be terminated at any time without cause or prejudice by action of the membership committee.
Membership is open to all individuals regardless of sex, race, age, language, or national origin. The primary criteria is that an applicant actively pursue an absolute faith and belief in God. All ethical and moral instruction will be in Christian terms according to the Holy Bible, as per the founding fathers of Danzan Ryu.
All members are expected to treat one another according to the “Golden Rule”: To do to others as you would have them do to you.
All members are expected to follow the Code of Bushido (this code is to be found elsewhere on this site). The Code of Bushido is the code of the Samurai warrior.
All members are expected to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
All members are expected to support and respect the sanctity of the family unit.
All members are expected to maintain a daily practice of prayer and meditation in accord with the Christian concept of “loving God with all your heart, mind, and soul.”
Furthermore all members must promise to:
1. Abide by the rules and standards of the CJA
2. Use their arts only for self defense or other honorable manner
3. Attempt to avoid all violent situations
4. Seek to serve others in the CJA and in your community
5. To love and be faithful to God
Individual “General” memberships are available only to those attending certified “Comprehensive” CJA schools. Those of Black Belt Danzan Ryu JuJitsu rank, who are not affiliated with a club, may seek an “at large” or “Non-Affiliated” membership. However we also have “Associate Memberships” open to folks who are not martial artists, but who support the purposes and activities of the CJA. For those who belong to other martial arts organizations or who practice another art, we have an “Allied Membership”. We also have an “Allied Member” category for other organizations that desire to affiliate with us. Membership applications for each category are available at:
